When we identify with our conditioning, our persona, our personality, or our body/mind, we are being woke.
When we identify with our cosmic, universal, and identity-less Self, we are Awake.
On the in-breath:
I am the Energy of Source.
On the out-breath:
I am not the energy of conditioning.
When we are judging the world around us in terms of right and wrong, good and bad, left and right, up and down, blue and red, or any other duality, we are being woke.
When we are nothing more than an observer and a witness to Life around us with absolutely zero entanglement or stance, we are Awake.
On the in-breath:
I am at one with all of Life.
On the out-breath:
I am unique, but I am not separate.
If we suffer our memory, our imagination, or our mind in general, we are being woke.
If we are living the experience of supreme contentment, regardless of our situation or our predicament in Life, we are Awake.
On the in-breath:
I am the energy of healing.
On the out-breath:
I am not the energy of suffering.
If we think we know something better than others, if we think we are smarter or dumber, if we think belief systems are real, or if we view the world in terms of concrete conclusives or ultimatum blanket statements, we are being woke.
If we understand the power of the words “I. don’t. know.”, if we are seekers, if we always have curiosity, if we are true definitions of the words humility and vulnerability, we are Awake.
On the in-breath:
I am curious about the Mysteries of this Life.
On the out-breath:
I do not need to know everything.
If we are reaching externally, outside of our own Self, for the answers to Life’s most profound questions, we are being woke.
If we are turning inward, inquiring within our own Self in order to read the “owner’s manual” to this Life and this existence, we are Awake.
On the in-breath:
I entered this World as pure Consciousness.
On the out-breath:
I will leave this World as pure Consciousness.
If we think that God is good, that God is a person, that God has an ego, that God has an agenda, or that God “sees” a difference between a Jesus and a Hitler, we are being woke.
If we understand that God simply means the Source of Creation, that we are also a Source of that same Creation, and if we understand that God, Consciousness, and Love are all different words for the same meaning, we are Awake.
On the in-breath:
I am a Source of Creation.
On the out-breath:
I am not just created.
If we judge other people by their own identification with conditioning, body/mind, ego, persona, or personality, we are being woke.
If we are not emotionally affected by, if we are neutral toward, and if we are nothing more than an observer to other people’s conditioning, and if we still love and respect and acknowledge the mutual Source Energy we share with others that constitutes everyone’s True Self, we are Awake.
On the in-breath:
I am a unique wave of the ocean.
On the out-breath:
I cannot be separated from the ocean.
If we think that anything, that you or me or that anyone else, including God, is here to “fix” this World, we are being woke.
If we understand with our entire Heart and with all our Love that there are absolutely no mistakes in Consciousness, we are Awake.
On the in-breath:
I am everything that is Love.
On the out-breath:
I am nothing outside of Love.
If we think that gender, religion, race, color, nationality, rights, and so on…, are absolutes or hold any existential importance in this Life, we are being woke.
If we understand that all of the above, including our own personal identities and conditionings, are nothing more than belief systems, body/mind ego limitations, and false realities, we are Awake.
On the in-breath:
I am possibility.
On the out-breath:
I am not limitation.
If we are victims, in any way, shape, or form, to Life, we are being woke.
If we are 100% responsible for our lives, our happiness, our well-being, our health, our attitude and personal outlook, and for our “leading edge” which with we cut and maneuver our way through this Life, we are Awake.
On the in-breath:
I am Awake.
On the out-breath:
I am not woke.
Wild be.

All the best,
Yes, breathing is so important. I have spent most of my life as a teacher literally and figuratively holding my breath, expecting the next violent (verbal or physical) outburst from students at any moment. Even now I have to remember to breath, to do more than just very, very shallow breathing. I hate wearing a C-PAP (for my sleep apnea), but I also love having it, because it ensures that I never stop breathing while it is on... and I have a chance to wake up feeling rested. If I sleep without it I wake up 40+ times an hour or more because I stop breathing in my sleep . I used to sleep all day and night through most of my teaching breaks (winter, summer, fall) and still felt exhausted. I used to wonder how I'd make it back to teaching at the end of the break, but I just did. Breathe! Breathe! Breathe!
